Differentiation
From my experiences of implementing units and lessons in the classroom is that it is vital to make learning accessible to as many students as possible. The same way teachers teach differently, students learn different. To differentiate instruction for the classroom, one needs to be flexible, adaptable, and to know who their students are.
It is important to teach things multiple ways. When planning instruction, I create lessons that include a variety of multiple intelligence areas, flexible grouping, technology, and hands-on interest centers. It is vital that educators attempt to interact with each student on a daily basis and to involve students directly in their learning by what they are learning to their own lives.
